Operations Manager
The Operations Manager coordinates activities related to the production of company products. Their responsibilities include scheduling, fabrication, and shipment of all orders within the manufacturing facility. Work in conjunction with safety, quality, purchasing, transportation, and production control. The Operations Manager ensures that the facility meets safety, quality, production, and cost objectives by performing the following duties :
Maintain a safe work environment for all employees and find ways to continuously improve for maximum safety.
Collaborate with management to establish production and quality control standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with engineering specifications and certification agencies.
Plan and direct production activities, setting priorities based on effective operations, customer service, and cost factors.
Manage inventory, scrap, and material utilization.
Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to optimize resource utilization.
Analyze production control, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify non-conformities and operational issues using six-sigma, root cause analysis and similar tools.
Familiar with D.M.A.I.C. process.
Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
Collaborate with production leadership to adjust production schedules and priorities due to equipment failure or system issues.
Consult with maintenance personnel regarding machines and equipment modifications to enhance production and product quality.
Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
Lead special projects as assigned.
A thorough knowledge of products and their related manufacturing processes.
Mechanical background preferred.
Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
Exhibits strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Anticipates needs, forecasts conditions, sets goals / standards and measure results.
Collaborates with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

Holds a valid driver's license.

Lifting Capacity ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Mobility prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, bending, etc.
Exposure moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment.
Noise Tolerance high noise levels.
Supervise, monitor, and manage the work of others to ensure tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in manufacturing, engineering, or operations management; or associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or operations management and / or have 5 to 7 years related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
