Quality Assurance Manager
The Quality Assurance Manager for a leading manufacturer of foodservice equipment will be responsible for all quality-related standard operating procedures and audits, both internal and external, ensuring adherence to internal and regulatory standards. You will play a pivotal role in promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the quality assurance department, directing the work of quality technicians to meet quality requirements.
- Develop and execute annual quality goals and objectives that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Setup and maintain ISO 9001 certification and adherence to the quality system.
- Educate and train employees on quality management system impacts, protocols, and procedures.
- Direct corrective actions for customer complaints, warranties, returns, and internal processes.
- Collaborate with all departments to document processes and procedures.
- Lead development of quality improvement plans to reduce product costs.
- Conduct audits, closing audit findings, and determine corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare the organization for audits and certifications.
- Support the management team as necessary and nurture a quality culture.
- Follow and comply with environmental, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Evaluate and implement organizational systems as needed.
- Provide quality-based direction to production staff, ensuring safe and effective operations.
- Develop positive relationships with suppliers and manage Supplier Quality metrics.
- Participate in new product introduction projects to ensure quality characteristics are met.
Essential Skills
At least 7-10 years of experience in a machine shop manufacturing-based business.Experience in quality assurance, control shop inspection practices, and working with contract manufacturers.Strong understanding and experience leading ISO 9001 Quality systems and systems auditing.Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Knowledge of quality methods, tools, and instruments like 5 Why analysis, Kaizen and Ishikawa Diagram. Lean manufacturing, six sigma etc.Experience with CMM (coordinate measuring machines)Experience creating and tracking KPIs. Gathering and analysis data for quality purposes.Experience leading and managing Quality personnel. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with all levels of employees.Extensive knowledge of Quality Management systems and planning techniques.Experience in developing and implementing training for quality systems and Total Quality Management.Functional knowledge of statistical concepts in Quality Control.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Quality or an Engineering Discipline; Master's preferred.Strong experience in quality systems preferred.Experience in a foodservice equipment manufacturing company is strongly preferred.Work Environment
This is an onsite, office-based position requiring meetings and collaboration on the factory floor. The environment is dynamic and involves interaction with various teams across the organization to ensure quality standards are met.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas. Permanent placement opportunity may also be available.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $58.00 / hr.
