Vice President of Business Development

Position Overview

The Regional Director of Business Development oversees the strategic growth and referral development efforts across a network of skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Metro East Illinois / Greater St. Louis Area.

This role leads and supports a team of Hospital Liaisons to drive census growth, strengthen hospital, physician and community partnerships, and position each facility as a provider of choice within its market.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute regional business development strategies to achieve and maintain targeted census goals.

Provide leadership, training, and support to facility-level marketing and admissions teams.

Cultivate and manage strong referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and community organizations.

Collaborate with facility administrators to ensure alignment between clinical capabilities and referral outreach.

Analyze referral trends, conversion data, and census performance to identify opportunities for growth.

Coordinate community outreach and special events to promote facility services and specialty programs.

Ensure marketing materials and digital presence reflect current programs and are effectively utilized.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date reports of occupancy, bed availability, and referral activity.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care business development, admissions, or marketing leadership.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Experience with patient management software, such as PointClickCare , preferred.

Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with hospital partners, physicians, and community referral sources.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
