Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Create electrical installation details, one-line diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, area classification, grounding, etc.
• Size and specify electrical equipment including raceways, fittings, panels, conductors, terminations, etc.
• Walk down a site, collecting all necessary information to perform design work.
• Collaborate with a design team of engineers, designers, and drafters to produce a complete drawing installation package.
• Occasionally support factory / site acceptance testing
• Occasional field support of commissioning and / or troubleshooting electrical equipment.
• Interpret and apply NEC and other electrical-related codes and standards.
• Utilize 2D or 3D computer aided design software, such as ACad, to create electrical design drawings.
