After School Program Instructor

Responsibilities :

• Under the supervision of the Out of School Programs & Camp Coordinator, the After School Program Instructor is responsible for supervising, leading and instructing various recreational programs in an after school classroom setting.
• Create curriculum for various age groups from 5-14 years old across multiple school sites for a variety of recreational activities, including but not limited to : pickleball, soccer, baseball, yoga, tennis, golf, dance, drama, basketball, arts, STEAM activities, and others as requested.
• Teach and instruct recreation programs to children.
• Engage and encourage participants to meet their performance goals.
• Prepare the classroom by gathering and setting up needed equipment for daily curriculum.
• Develop programs / curriculum and prepare daily lesson plans based on the needs of the group.
• Monitor supplies / inventory for future classes.
• Act as a key motivator amongst participants.
• Maintain a positive relationship with all employees, participants, parents, and volunteers.
• Follow all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
