Job Description
Are you a problem-solver who thrives on tackling complex challenges in automation and controls? We're looking for a Senior Controls Engineer to lead design, implementation, and support of cutting-edge material handling systems across North America. In this role, you'll be hands-on with PLC / HMI programming, electrical design, and commissioning while guiding junior engineers and collaborating with clients to deliver high-performing solutions.
What You Will Do
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams to develop automation solutions for material handling projects.
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, Schneider, etc.).
- Produce electrical schematics and documentation using AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical.
- Provide technical leadership during site evaluations, installations, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
- Mentor engineers, support project management, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D teams to maintain high standards of quality and innovation.
- Perform retrofits and modernizations for electrical and controls systems, including ASRS and conveyor systems.
