This role involves coordinating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and working closely with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory. Responsibilities :

• Source and procure raw materials, components, and indirect supplies in alignment with production schedules and inventory targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers to ensure consistent quality, delivery, and cost performance.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality concerns, or pricing discrepancies.
• Collaborate with production planning, logistics, and quality teams to ensure material availability and compliance with specifications.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize cost savings and service levels.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier communications.
• Analyze inventory levels and usage trends to forecast material needs and prevent shortages or excess.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and contribute to cost reduction strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and customer requirements (including GM-specific protocols).
• Performs other duties as assigned
