Industrial Engineer

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

• Analyze our current production processes and design a sequence of operations (flow) to increase efficiency and maximize utilization of production personnel.
• Assist in establishing accident prevention methods.
• Develop training for process and equipment changes for production personnel.
• Analyze our current processes on cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production records and systems.
• Establish and lead continuous improvement, lean, and 5S initiatives to increase efforts in cost reduction, quality control, scheduling, and / or safety.
• Lead facility, equipment, fixturing, and tooling acquisition and implementation and / or utilization efforts.
• Create and organize capital and overhead expenditures for current and future plans.
• Communicate with internal customers regularly concerning project progress and improvement efforts.

Job Level : Full Time Direct

Travel Required : Minimal out of state travel for benchmarking, training, or knowledge capture.

Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience

Shipyard experience with new-build vessel construction, upgrades, conversions, or repairs.
