Payroll Specialist
PAYROLL SPECIALIST
The PAYROLL SPECIALIST is responsible for the timely processing and auditing necessary to produce an accurate and timely payroll, including the timely filing of state and federal tax documents. In addition, the PAYROLL SPECIALIST provides positive customer services in responding to payroll / payment issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Prepare, process and audit accurate and timely payroll using automated payroll system, including preparation of manual checks, when necessary
- Respond, research and resolve problems or issues presented by employees and management regarding timekeeping, payroll and payroll deductions
- Review and process Personnel Action Form implementing changes as necessary per policy
- Establish, track and verify employee related deductions, including wage garnishments
- Prepare and submit to the appropriate federal and state authorities, the bi-weekly payroll tax deposits
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE :
High School Education / GED preferredRecent payroll processing experience using an automated time and attendance systemADP and automated timekeeping experience preferredHealthcare / hospital experience preferredBasic understanding of accounting principalsExcellent communication skills including correct grammar and spellingExcellent computer skillsExcellent customer service skillsPI6895f00c94bf-30511-32974289
