Wealth Management Operations Manager
What You'll Do : The Wealth Management Operations Manager will have an essential role in creating a positive culture that uses industry best practices to deliver an exceptional customer experience through efficient operations.
The Manager will oversee all daily department operations and ensure our representatives meet our client-member needs through processing and support of investment business. You will also :
- Manage of team of representatives, providing coaching and motivation.
- Oversee all aspects of staff development including the selection, training, development, performance management, employee satisfaction, workflow management and other assigned budget activities.
- Assist with establishing workloads, standards, practices, and policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of new business for clearing firm, advisory business and ensure paperwork is complete.
- Provide principal review of new account applications and any included business within suitability guidelines.
- Support representatives on the clearing firm platform, including phone and email support in areas such as : transfers, cashiering, retirement accounts, corporate actions, and training.
- Perform suitability review and subsequent delivery to product companies.
- Coordinate operations aspects of a newly affiliated representative's onboarding.
- Work with the team to ensure accurate and timely processing and support for advisory business.
- Work closely with IT, compliance, and finance departments to maintain the firm's books and records system.
What It Takes to Join Our Team :
- College degree (Finance preferred) or equivalent plus eight years of relevant experience required. One to two years of supervisory or management experience required.
- Series 7, 24, 51 required. Series 53 and 65, 66, CFP, ChFC or CLU preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to train and development staff.
- Exceptional customer, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan, direct and control business activities to meet established objectives.
- Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills required in addition to the ability to learn company products, processes and systems.
- Must be knowledgeable of securities-related operational and transfer agent rules and regulations as well as IRS qualified plans.
- Ability to work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
