Position Title : Meat Packing Plant Worker

Temp-to hire in 30 days Full-Time 1st shift

Salary Range : $14.00

A Meat Packing Plant Worker is responsible for processing and packaging meat products according to company standards and guidelines.

The role involves various tasks such as cutting, trimming, deboning, packing, and labeling meat products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Meat Processing :

• Cutting, trimming, and deboning various types of meat (e.g., beef, pork, poultry).
• Operating meat processing machinery and tools (e.g., slicers, grinders, saws).

Packaging :

• Packaging meat products in accordance with company specifications and standards.
• Weighing, wrapping, and labeling packages accurately.
• Ensuring proper storage and handling to maintain product quality.

Quality Control :

• Inspecting meat products for quality and safety.
• Adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Reporting any quality issues or discrepancies to supervisors.

Safety and Sanitation :

• Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the work area.
• Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Team Collaboration :

• Working as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Assisting in training new employees as needed.

Record Keeping :

• Keeping accurate records of production quantities, weights, and inventory.
• Completing necessary documentation and logs.

Qualifications :

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Experience : Previous experience in meat processing or a similar environment is beneficial but not required; on-the-job training is provided.
• Skills :
• Ability to use and maintain meat processing equipment.
• Basic math skills for weighing and measuring products.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical Requirements :
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work in cold environments (refrigerated areas).

Working Conditions :

• Exposure to cold temperatures in refrigerated areas.
• Handling raw meat and exposure to blood and other bodily fluids.
• Use of sharp tools and machinery.
• Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
• Adherence to strict safety and hygiene protocols.
