Sizzling Platter is a restaurant management group and we currently operate more than 650 restaurants across the United States and Mexico.

We were founded in 1963 with just a small number of sit-down restaurants and over the last 50+ years we have built a strong restaurant platform focused on adding and scaling leading brands in outstanding restaurant markets.

Our Support Center is located Murray, Utah and we are looking for talented people to join our team in supporting the 11,000+ team members who operate our restaurants.

We are committed to growing our team through building new stores in our existing brands, acquiring additional stores, and adding even more brands.

Our current restaurant brands include Little Caesars, Wingstop, Dunkin’, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Sizzler Steakhouse, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Jamba and Cinnabon.

JOB DETAILS

The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for general accounting duties, bank account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.

This position also provides accounting services to the Operations teams and Corporate Support teams which require customer service focus and strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Review daily store transactions and make necessary adjustments.
• Research and solve problems and discrepancies.
• Prepare and record vendor bills in NetSuite.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Store level P&L review and analysis.
• Learn store point of sale and back-office systems.
• Create and maintain advanced spreadsheets.
• Provide assistance within the Support Center and with the Operations Teams.
• Communicate effectively and professionally.
• Back up other team members in their areas of responsibility.
• Complete other projects and special assignments as requested.

REQUIREMENTS

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience / Skills :

• 1-2 years accounting experience, preferably in a high transaction volume environment.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting, including the charge of accounts, debits and credits, preparing journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience with general ledger systems, NetSuite a plus.
• Very organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
