Financial Planner (CFP)

We are a successful, fast-paced Financial Services Wealth Management firm looking for our next great team member to join our Financial Planning team.

The Financial Planner works with our Private Wealth Advisors to deliver financial security to their clients through a comprehensive planning process that integrates risk and investment products.

This role will help the Advisor team increase productivity by providing planning and integrated operations support.

Applying candidates should have the ability to :

• Compile meeting documents including all materials needed for the approach, close, and delivery.
• Construct comprehensive financial plans including insurance illustrations using planning software.
• Assist in preparing presentations and other materials necessary for client meetings.
• Perform analysis and stress-testing financial plans based on client goals, objectives and preferences.
• Provide clear case-specific documentation on product options, assumptions and rationale.
• Proactively review plans for client review meetings and discuss opportunities for MST Financial to bring additional benefits to the client.
• Conduct research as requested.
• Assist the Advisor team throughout the Fee-Based Planning process.
• Answer routine client questions and service requests.
• Maintain compliant electronic client files, check and order logs, as well as client records ensuring all client information is timely documented in CRM in adherence to compliance standards.
• Recommend and implement process improvements in daily operations to enhance quality and productivity.
• Coordinate the firm's special projects related to financial planning philosophy and process.
• Promote, utilize, and reinforce a planning culture aligned to MST Financials’ planning philosophy, best practices, and planning assumptions.
• Reinforce registered representative adherence with network office business and compliance guidelines.
• Continuously improve knowledge and skills through professional development.
• Leverage all resources, including our corporate office support team as needed to complete the job duties.
• Provide general administrative and office support as requested.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree (required) in Economics or Business (preferred).
• Minimum 3-5 years of full-time experience in financial planning or related field.
• CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) certification or currently in the process.
• California Life, Accident, and Health license (preferred).
• Series 7 and Series 63 licenses (preferred).
• Experience and Advanced Knowledge Required : Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Excel, Outlook.
• Mastery of financial planning process.
• Deep knowledge of planning areas including financial planning, investments, budgeting, taxes, risk management and estate planning.
• Strong client relationship and service skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with others.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits :

Ø Base Salary : $85,000-$115,000 depending on experience and licensing

Ø Annual bonus potential after first year of service

Ø Eligible after 30 days : Health, dental and Vision Insurance

Ø Eligible after 90 days : Long-Term Disability Insurance
