Job Description :
Collaboratively, with facility Perioperative Director and Central Sterile Supply Manager, observes and educates the personnel performing Sterile Processing functions at the Bone and Joint Institute.
Maintains a rigorous training and development program for new Central Sterile Supply staff, as well as a remediation program for existing staff.
Also ensures that strict and proper infection control procedures are followed for decontamination, sterilization, storage and transportation of equipment, and sterile supplies and instruments / sets utilized.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Central Sterile Processing
- Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician CRCST or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician CSPDT .
- In depth knowledge of sterile processing and distribution techniques
- Ability to measure and assess staff training needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to continuously educate staff in consistent adherence to standards and best practices for safe performance of processes
