The National Account Director, Post Acute will be responsible for setting strategy, contract crafting / negotiation, sales, executive level relationships, and execution with Traveling Physician Groups, LTACH's, and Managed Wound Care Centers.
This associate represents Smith & Nephew’s full portfolio (excepting Leaf and Renasys) when appropriate to establish, maintain and enhance business relationships with key customers on a national and regional level.
The Post Acute National Account Director will collaborate with numerous internal business units & operational teams.Key customers will include wound focused physician practices, WCC's, and LTACH's to drive portfolio sales.
The Director's contract negotiations, strategy, and ability to recognize and execute new business development opportunities are critical to the success of Smith & Nephew's wound portfolio.
What will you be doing?
- Executing strategic direction for wound focused post acute Traveling Physician Groups. Sales promotion will include Santyl, Regranex, PICO, and Grafix PL Prime.
- Developing relationships, identify opportunities, negotiate, and implement contracts with managed Wound Care Centers for full portfolio opportunities.
Executing assigned direction for regional opportunities within Healogics and Restorix.
Developing relationships, identify opportunities, negotiate, and implement contracts with managed Long Term Acute Care hospitals.
Develop fluency with Compass approach for full portfolio opportunities.
Identifying and executing new business development activities involving individual brand or full portfolio opportunities.
Work with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Sales Leadership to gain approval and support. Execute plan as identified with or without sales support.
Network internally to become fluent with internal processes.
What will you need to be successful?
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University required
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience. Focused knowledge of the wound care space. 3-4 years of successfully managing sales teams is preferred but not required.
- Proven strong relationships with key healthcare executives a plus.
- Ability to work independently and natural ability to be a strong team player and team leader.
- Computer literacy.
- Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, negotiation and sales skills.
- Competent in Microsoft programs including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid basic analytical skills to analyze customer and products trends at the territory level.
- Strong negotiation and demonstrated listening skills.
- Ability to work on own and take high level direction.
