Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Edwards AFB, CA is seeking a full-time Early-Mid Career Systems Engineer for the Electro-Optical Team.
In this role, you will participate in real time activities during flight execution. Support technical planning and integration of test requirements into test plans and execute flight test from a mission control room using telemetered data.
You will interface with AFFTC and NAWCAD engineers in writing test plans, developing flight test cards, conducting briefs / debriefs, problem reporting, and providing flight test data to support system and requirements verification.
You will interact with the Verification Team and Discipline Integrated Product Teams at Fort Worth, TX. You will participate in problem identification, analysis, and resolution;
assist with collection, distribution and analysis of data acquired during flight test missions.
The successful candidate will have experience and / or knowledge of writing, mathematical, and computer skills.
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position will require a government security clearance.
This position is located at a facility that requires special programs access.
A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Desired skills
Working knowledge or experience with numerical analysis using Matlab / Python or similar tools.
Experience with integration and test of highly engineered laser / optical systems.
Working knowledge of laboratory protocol and test equipment including oscilloscopes, laser beam analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and / or laser drive electronics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
