Avera Mary House is currently seeking a highly motivated Assistant Director of Nursing!

- Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing, performs work of supervising and providing professional and technical guidance to nursing staff at Avera Mary House Long Term Care.

Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing, performs work of considerable difficulty in supervising and providing professional and technical guidance to nursing staff.
Performs highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations, as well as, exercise of independent judgment.
Participates in all management functions of the nursing department. (planning, development, leadership, process improvement, staff retention, .
Coordinates nursing services with other departments. Regularly inspects facility and nursing practice for compliance with Federal, State and Local standards and regulations.
Education and / or Experience
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience in a long-term care facility preferred.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
RN licensed in the State of South Dakota or a Compact RN license, required. BSN preferred.
