We are representing a distinguished client seeking an experienced Controller to join their dynamic team. Our client operates within a leading industry sector, recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovative financial practices.

Position Overview :
As a Controller, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of all financial statements and reports while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines.
This internal position requires you to work closely with the Business Management team to support and enhance client service, and to be a key member of the Compliance, Assurance, Reporting Team.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing financial reporting, implementing policy improvements, and managing various financial projects.
You will also play a crucial role in tax preparation, budget creation, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and verify financial statements and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee the issuance of financial reporting packages, including annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to existing policies and procedures, and recommend improvements to align with best business practices.
- Assist in the training and development of accounting teams to enhance overall departmental performance.
- Manage tax-related tasks, including overseeing tax work papers and liaising with the tax manager for data provision.
- Finalize budget creation, monitor budget-to-actual reporting, and ensure timely communication of financial results to clients.
- Supervise estate planning processes and ensure accurate asset titling.
- Review and approve monthly commission reports and oversee annual payroll reconciliations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- CPA or CMA certification is required.
- 5-7+ years of progressively responsible experience in a major company or division of a large corporation.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel functions.
- Experience with high net worth individuals or from a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
