Our client, located in Trenton, is looking to add a Purchasing / Sourcing Assistant to our purchasing team. You will assist directly VP of Purchasing.

You will be joining a team of people focused on growing and sourcing more brands and products for our business.

This is full time, direct hire opportunity, in person opportunity.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000 / year based on experience

Qualifications :

• Purchasing / Sourcing Assistant requires a hard-working person who has an ability to think analytically.
• 1-3 years relevant work experience
• Highly organized, possessing strong time management skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word Google Sheets required (big plus), Smart Suite, Net Suite (big plus)
• Ability to quickly learn project processes and their incorporation into the tools utilized.
• Works successfully in a team environment and independently
• Ability to quickly adapt to change in fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical and research skills.
• We are seeking person who has experience searching for profitable prime goods products to sell.
• College degree preferred.
• Understanding of other E-commerce platforms, inventory planning, profit margin, and ROI is also a plus.
• Willingness to go above and beyond and work as a part of the team.
• Exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities :

• Purchasing / Sourcing Assistant is responsible for performing market trend and competitive research to help with product purchases.
• This person will also analyze data and make recommendations for portfolio and sales optimization.
• Perform market trend research including, reviewing competitor websites, and social media channels online along with using any available corporate research tools.
• Educate teams on trend research and findings so they can best implement through their channels.
• Analyze data for new and existing products.
• Compile data related to competitors’ products such as pricing, sales, and marketing or distribution methodology.
• Creating and maintaining relationships with new accounts and suppliers.
• Analyze offers and filter responses.
• Prepare offers.
• Construct Want to Buy request and filter responses.
• Initiate, establish and maintain customer relationships.
