Title : Administrative Assistant
Under direct supervision and using standardized procedures, performs routine and basic administrative support duties as assigned.
Essential Functions :

Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Communicates under the direction of the supervisor through standard forms of communication, written and oral to external and internal contacts
- Assists supervisor in the organization, compilations, and preparation of reports, meetings, and other data, as needed
- Schedules appointments and maintain supervisor’s calendar / schedule and related transportation arrangement when needed
- Orders and maintains supplies using established procedures; processes payment of purchased items according to DCSD (DeKalb County School District) guidelines
- Maintains work unit filing system
- Processes work orders and other documents requiring office procedural knowledge
- Maintains personnel / position-related paperwork i.e., payroll records, vacation / sick leave statements, monthly travel requests, and reimbursements according to established DCSD procedures
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail and all other correspondence
- Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in the area relative to office administration, accounting, or technology from a Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university preferred.
- Minimum five years of administrative-level experience and capable of demonstrating the level of proficiency necessary to perform the duties of the specified position required.
