Position Summary

Project ECHO has an amazing opportunity for 2 new Program Specialists to join our New Mexico Programs team! The Programs Specialists will ensure the successful implementation and impact of several ECHO Programs expanding public health programming and serving underserved populations in the state of New Mexico.

These positions will oversee day-to-day operations, provide problem-solving support, and assist with program development.

Your responsibilities as a Program Specialist will include :

  • Overseeing and administering all second-tier day-to-day operations, including program development, evaluation, outreach, and hub team training, up to eight ECHO programs.
  • Providing pre-launch and planning support for ECHO programs including creation of marketing materials, recruitment, iECHO sessions and resources, curriculum / schedule tracking, case form development, facilitator guides, IRB modifications, program email account creation and organization.
  • Editing, reviewing, and submitting ECHO program documentation for Joint Accreditation Office session requirements.
  • Overseeing the gathering of materials, sending communications to presenters and the hub team prior to sessions, and assisting with facilitation as needed, including initial and wrap-up announcements for ECHO sessions.
  • Monitoring and guiding pre- and post-session discussions following each ECHO session to enhance alignment and optimize processes.
  • Coordinating the logistics and administrative components of up to eight ECHO sessions per week and facilitating information flow between the ECHO hub, ECHO internal team.

  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality of outputs from ECHO program goals, ensuring alignment with objectives and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Designing, refining, and ensuring branding consistency on outreach activities, marketing strategies, communication materials, and tools for a variety of ECHO programs and special projects.

Coordinating communication and marketing with stakeholders, using approved ECHO guidelines.

  • Reviewing monthly feedback reports, summarizing key insights and trends for medical / program director(s) and the hub team.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and communicating the impact of assigned ECHO programs, contributing to the preparation of special ECHO program reports and summaries to track progress and outcomes.
  • Assisting in research, evaluation, and data services, contributing to the collection and analysis of data for program improvement and reporting purposes.

Maintaining the organization of all document storage sites.

  • Supporting the facilitation of focus groups and evaluation interviews, helping to gather valuable insights and feedback for program development and assessment.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for daily programmatic issues with both external and internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries and facilitating communication as required.
  • Engaging in informational presentations regarding NM programs during Project ECHO's live or virtual Partner Launch Training events, sharing insights and information to enhance understanding and collaboration.
  • Prioritizing and supervising the direct work of personnel assigned, including coaching and performance management, training;

building trust, common purpose, shared consciousness via on-boarding.

We work with partners all over the world and work hours outside of normal business hours may be required. We are fortunate to have access to advanced technology, which will require some teleworking.

Conditions of Employment

  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
  • If located at the UNM Children's Campus, successful candidate must pass a comprehensive post-offer, pre-employment criminal and New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) fingerprint background check, and a continued successful status will be verified by periodic future background checks.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in complex scheduling and program implementation
  • Understanding of medical accreditation and certification requirements, preferably Joint Accreditation
  • Knowledge and experience in accounting, purchasing, event planning and recruitment
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are preferred, as well as the ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated skills in multitasking, preparing reports, problem-solving, and analyzing program, university, and / or other program requirements
  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn UNM institutional systems and procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, REDcap, Box, Salesforce, and Slack
  • Ability to lead and manage other staff members and / or student employee
