Kaimetrix is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Florence, KY test lab, serving our client, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

This role is critical for maintaining and administering test environments, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our testing processes.

The Test Engineer will be responsible for the daily lifecycle management of various test environments, gathering testing requirements, reviewing and updating test plans, and ensuring all testing complies with IRS-CI policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities : Manage daily maintenance, monitoring, administration, and lifecycle of various test environments.

Gather and analyze testing requirements to ensure thorough and effective testing outcomes. Review existing test plans and recommend improvements to enhance testing strategies and processes.

Update and maintain comprehensive test plans and documentation. Conduct thorough testing of all use cases per SOP for changes to existing or new hardware or software, utilizing agile methodology to support continuous delivery.

Assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in producing technical documentation supporting all work, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure compliance with IRS-CI policies and procedures, including change and configuration management and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Desired Outcome : The Test Engineer will enhance our testing capabilities and contribute to the development of high-quality products by ensuring that all hardware and software changes meet rigorous testing standards before deployment.

This role will support our commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in our test processes, particularly in meeting the standards and expectations of the IRS.

Qualifications : Proven experience in managing and conducting software and hardware tests in a structured testing environment.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous delivery frameworks. Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify needs and improvements in test plans and processes.

Excellent documentation skills to accurately maintain test plans and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high standards of compliance.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with SMEs and other team members.

Experience with IRS-CI policies and procedures is highly desirable. Additional Requirements : Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Willingness to continue learning and upgrading skills as technology evolves. Education : Bachelor’s Degree in related field Additional Requirements : Drug testing will be required as a condition of employment.
