My gear machining / manufacturing client wants to bring on 4 CNC turning lathe machinists!
Shifts available :
Pay $23-$30 depending on experience.
Work Experience :
Must have 5+ years related experience / or training : or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Summary :
Set up, adjust and operate CNC equipment to exacting dimensional and finish requirements. Select cutters, feeds, speeds and program.
Personal Characteristics :
Results oriented with the ability to pay strong attention to detail. The successful candidate needs to be a pro-active self-starter that can work independently.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills are required for this position.
Principal Area of Responsibility :
- Loads and unloads own machine, assists and instructs others per supervisor’s request
- Operate, adjust and upload equipment as necessary
- Meets quality standards and does setups on all assigned jobs
- Ensure all projects / parts comply with required specifications and meet quality standards
- Checks own work to insure it is meeting process and blueprint requirements
- Maintain equipment and cleanliness of working area
- Perform quality checks daily and assist with duties as needed
Specific Duties :
- Edit and proof new programs
- Develops program to produce product as specified
- Informs supervisor of supplies and need for replacement
- Completes routine inspection to ensure quality product
- Complete duties as assigned in a timely manner
- Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety
- All other duties and activities as assigned or necessary
