What you will do
- Oversee schedules, verifications, documents, reports, relationships, and work product.
- Oversee prioritization, quality, resources, supplies, processes and facilities (must stay within budgetary constraints).
- Plan and evaluate the use of staff, resources for departmental programs and services.
- Ensure adherence to regulations, safety standards, policies and procedures.
- Maintain logs and records, equipment maintenance, and orders supplies.
- Organizes work and provides direct supervision to subordinates.
- Assist in hiring, training and reviewing performance of staff.
- Identify and implement training opportunities to help the staff better meet standards.
- Complete all mandatories in set time frame.
- Identify areas of growth for staff.
- Collaborate with department director to identify and address staff deficiencies.
- Manage employee relations of staff and keep director informed.
- Collaborate with Director regarding new strategies and strategic initiatives for continued growth.
- Participates collaboratively in staff meetings, committees, projects and teams and assists in resolving conflict and meets goals.
- Through collaboration with Medical Physicist and designated section Radiologist, facilitates ACR accreditation of CT scanners through submission of clinical and phantom images, dose measurements and scanning protocol.
- Updates CT protocols as needed with designated section Radiologist and Medical Physicist.
- May observe and monitor the quality of images, prepare reports based on activities.
- Call responsibilities shared between Team Leads of CT and MRI department.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED Required
- Technical Diploma Radiology Technology or Nuclear Medicine Required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience Qualifications
- At least ten (10) years in CT Scan Required and
- At least five (5) years supervisory experience Required
- Pediatric experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Computed Tomography (CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - upon hire - Required and
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - Organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex.
American Heart Association or Red Cross). - within 12 months - Required

- Advanced knowledge of radiology information systems
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Intermediate knowledge of electronic medical record software (EPIC)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and protocols
- Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Responsible for maintaining the continuing education required for this position.
- Completes all on-line Mandatory education required by hospital
- Obtains at least 12 CE credits / year
