Managesoffice to include coordinating and arranging counseling appointments;supervising and coordinating clerical workers;
and monitoring and maintainingbudget transactions for departmental accounts, purchasing and leasingagreements under supervision of the Director or designee.
PrimaryJob Duties and Responsibilities :
Answers telephone, greets visitors, and directs calls / individuals to appropriate person; makes photocopies as requested;
and opens and routes mail.
- Supervises and coordinates schedules / appointments of professional staff and graduate assistants, coordinates meetings, and makes travel arrangements.
- Initiates, at the direction of the Director or designee, purchasing and leasing of equipment and materials for the Center and maintains inventory control of equipment and other materials which have been purchased.
- Monitors and maintains budget transactions for departmental account to include the purchasing and upkeep of office supplies and posting and balancing account with monthly detail budget reports from Controller’s Office.
- Functions as office courier to perform activities such as picking up mail, delivering documents to offices on campus, and picking up supplies.
- Supervise student workers. Supervisory responsibilities include training, planning, assigning, and directing work as well as appraising performance under the direction of the Director and / or Assistant Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Associate’sor bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and six months relatedexperience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education andexperience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups ofcustomers or employees of organization.
Abilityto add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using wholenumbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpretbar graphs.
- Abilityto apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished inwritten, oral, or diagram form. Abilityto deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardizedsituations.
- Abilityto seek appropriate assistance for mental health emergencies. Ability to take and give directionappropriately. Ability to work with ateam.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Associate’sor bachelor’s degree in office administration
- Prior experience working on a college campus
