Job Summary :
As a Controller your primary responsibility is to lead financial management, reporting, compliance and HR operations, ensuring fiscal responsibility, employee engagement and organizational success.
The Controller will be directly responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions of the business, including payroll.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis : Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Accrual based Accounting knowledge.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting : Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop annual budgets and long term financial projections.
Monitor budget variances and identify areas requiring corrective action.
3. Financial Compliance : Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and tax laws by maintaining accurate records and financial controls.
Coordinate with tax accountant and liaise with preparation of taxes. Prepare 1099's YE and ensure Vendor Compliance / Management
4. Cash Flow : Manage cash flow by optimizing cash reserves, monitoring cash inflows and forecasting liquidity needs. Implement strategies to enhance cash flow efficiency.
5. Payroll : Process payroll bi-weekly, maintain timesheets and expense reports for reimbursement
6. HR Management : Oversee human resource functions, including talent acquisition, employee onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.
HR policies and practices to promote work culture and compliance with employment laws.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Three to 5 years of Accounting experience .
- Strategic Thinking with the ability to envision and articulate a clear long-term strategy for the company and align all functions toward its achievements
- Excellent analytical, mathematical and organizational skills
- Proven problem-solving skills and a track record of implementing effective solutions. -Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills. -Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
- Quickbooks experience a plus
Benefits :
$75,000-$85,000 base salary negotiable with experience
