PositionOverview : We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Patient Access / Medical Billing Specialist tosupport billing coding and patient access functions.
This roleinvolves managing medical billing preparing schedules ensuringadequate coverage processing payroll and verifying census accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have a background in medical billingknowledge of CPT and ICD10 coding and experience in patientfinancial services.
KeyResponsibilities :
MedicalBilling & Coding : Perform medical billing andcoding tasks ensuring accurate use of CPT and ICD10codes.
Staffing& Scheduling : Prepare department schedules ensurecoverage and participate in the staffing pattern as neededincluding rotating oncallduties.
PayrollProcessing : Manage payroll for the department ensuringtimely and accurateprocessing.
ProductivityMonitoring : Systematically monitor individual and teamproductivity and quality conducting focused reviews and supportinggoalattainment.
PolicyDevelopment : Assist in developing and maintainingpolicies and procedures to ensure accuracy andefficiency.
Census& Record Accuracy : Verify daily census statisticscorrect duplicate medical record numbers and insurance errors andprovide feedback and training to improveprocesses.
Requirements
Qualifications :
Education : High School Diploma orEquivalent
Experience :
- Priorexperience in a medical office setting with knowledge of medicalterminology CPT and ICD10coding.
- Minimum of 2 years ofexperience in Patient Access and / or Patient FinancialServices.
- Experience with cashcollections andbalancing.
