Job Description
The Women’s Director works with the Women’s Pastor to inspire women to follow Jesus and fearlessly change the world. The role will be the executor of the vision of Mariners Women alongside the Women’s Pastor at Mariners Church.
A full time position, the schedule generally includes weekend services and time spent in the office during the week for a total of 40 hours.
This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
The ideal candidate will have a high capacity for holding multiple relationships across ministries and volunteers with an elevated value for discipleship and mobilization.
In addition, the ideal candidate has a high capability for multitasking and problem solving, actively designing strategies and solutions that support the advancement of the vision and mission.
The Director will be relied on for decision-making, alignment with Mariners vision and strategy, volunteer and staff development, and ministry execution.
The Director will also lend personal experience and counsel where needed in Mariners Women.
The role will include :
- Intentional Leadership : Lead, shepherd, and disciple the women of Mariners Church to inspire others to follow Jesus and fearlessly change the world and encourage active participation in the transformational loop.
- Leadership Development : Recruit, care and develop volunteer leaders to support the important work of the ministry and strategically think through discipleship pathways by identifying and aligning gifts for volunteer mobilization.
- Strategic Communication : Strategizing and implementing ongoing communication and engagement with other staff, volunteers and women at Mariners Church to cascade information for the ministry work and engagement.
- Project Management : Leadership and oversight of all final execution of Mariners Women, including but not limited to : Women’s Nights with Christine Caine, Life and Leadership Nights with Christine Caine, courses, MOmCo, Bible studies, etc.
in a well organized and timely manner.
Stewardship of Database Management : As a steward and key stakeholder of the data of the women at Mariners Church, the director will work to regularly maintain and report on Women's Rooted and life groups (leaders and group rosters) and Women’s volunteers within the database for the sake of shepherding and contributing to essential decision making in caring for the women.

- Brings a strategic problem-solving attitude
- Experience and eagerness to learn a variety of systems (graphics, website, database, project management)
- Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
