Responsibilities
SCOPE OF WORK
Daily operations in Manufacturing include ensuring safety through DBO2 and daily meetings, maintaining shop cleanliness, and tracking production against estimates.
Builds must meet high-quality design specifications, with raw materials checked upon delivery. Production planning, resource scheduling, and managing personnel, including interns and work release program workers, are essential.
Coordination with logistics for shipping, confirming load safety, and compliance with company policies are also key responsibilities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Collaborates with plant and corporate leaders to assess resource needs and implement efficient processes.
- Develops and enforces safety and regulatory compliant procedures.
- Tracks financials and assists with cost-saving ideas for prefabrication projects.
- Oversees design, layout, and material ordering to meet project schedules.
- Manages on-site safety and project progress, including subcontractor coordination.
- Conducts monthly reviews and communicates progress to stakeholders.
- Leads and develops staff, ensuring accurate performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
- Utilizes Spectrum software for financial and project management tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must work in various weather conditions, use construction site facilities, and wear personal protective equipment.
- Requires teamwork, ability to handle noisy environments, and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Must have First Aid / CPR certification and be prepared for emergency rescues.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must perform various physical activities (bending, lifting up to lbs, climbing, etc.) and have good vision / hearing.
- Requires constant movement, ability to access all building levels, and use of both hands for tasks.
- Must transition between parking and construction areas safely.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
High school / college graduate, four-year degree in industrial / manufacturing management, business or related field, or equivalent studies / on-the-job experience, five years supervisory experience preferred .
EXPERIENCE
High level of interpersonal relationship skills, proficiency in communication skills, organizational skills, and highly computer literate Microsoft Word, Excel, Spectrum), Six Sigma or LEAN management experience.
