Description :
St. Francis is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team in Wilmington Delaware!
Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director and according to the established procedures of the pharmacy department, the pharmacist provides clinical support and distributive services in coordination with all levels of hospital personnel in order to achieve quality, safe and cost-effective drug therapy for our patients.
The pharmacist will give direction to technicians and interns as necessary for the purpose of completing all tasks in the delivery of patient care in accordance with hospital pharmacy.
All registered pharmacists will ensure that all medications dispensed to patients will receive a final check from a registered pharmacist, as written in the policies and procedures.
The purpose is delivery of quality care commensurate with the age of the patient population for the said designated area.
i.e.. neonate through geriatrics).
The successful candidate will be able to work independently in all or most pharmacist positions within this hospital : main pharmacy distribution, Med / Surg, step down, ED, ICU and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
Requirements :
Current State of Delaware Pharmacy license in good standing or obtained within 45 days of hire (prior to starting work).
PharmD degree from an accredited institution
One or more years of health-system pharmacy experience (or equivalent residency training) preferred. One year of acute care ( hospital ) experience is required for this per diem role.
Preferred : Experience with Pyxis ES, EPIC
