Description
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY POSITION SUMMARY : The Pharmacy Technician will provide services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department.
The Pharmacy Technician will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Pharmacy Department Policy and Procedures and will be assigned additional administrative or clinically focused tasks, both basic and advanced, to be performed on an ongoing basis and in accordance with training and experience.
The Pharmacy Technician will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs.
Qualifications
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION : Pharmacy Technician permit from the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.Such permit maybe obtained within 90 days of on the job training.
National Technician Certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED : None required but hospital pharmacy experience and IV preparation skills preferred.
EDUCATION : High School graduate or equivalent required.Undergraduate college degree preferred.
