We are a growing rehabilitation and medical practice specializing in spine, pain, and neurorehabilitation. Our patient base includes individuals referred by attorneys for personal injury cases (e.g., traumatic brain injury, concussion, mild cognitive impairment) as well as patients referred by physicians for neurological disorders such as stroke, dementia, and other neurocognitive conditions. We are committed to delivering thorough, evidence-based neuropsychological evaluations and clear, defensible reports that support patient care and legal proceedings.
Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in conducting comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, writing detailed and objective reports, and communicating findings clearly to attorneys, physicians, patients, and families. This role will focus on evaluation and consultation rather than ongoing psychotherapy.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for :
Patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and other personal injuries referred by attorneys.
Patients with neurological disorders (stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, etc.) referred by physicians.
Administer, score, and interpret standardized neuropsychological test batteries.
Prepare clear, detailed, and defensible reports suitable for clinical and legal settings.
Provide expert feedback to referring physicians, attorneys, and patients / families.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA and legal standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary discussions with physicians, rehabilitation providers, and legal professionals as needed.
If desired, provide expert testimony in court or deposition (optional but preferred).
Qualifications
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with specialized training in Neuropsychology.
Licensed (or license-eligible) as a psychologist in [Insert State].
Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology strongly preferred.
Experience in TBI assessment and medico-legal evaluations.
Strong knowledge of psychometric testing, brain-behavior relationships, and diagnostic criteria.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings for diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases with attention to deadlines.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience working with attorney-referred cases and personal injury evaluations.
Familiarity with writing reports for legal proceedings, workers’ compensation, or disability claims.
Background in inpatient / outpatient rehabilitation settings.
Board eligibility or certification in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABPP-CN or equivalent).
