We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist team at IU Health University Hospital!
Position Details :
- Full-time, Night Shift 3 12's / week 4 : 00pm-4 : 00am or 6 : 00pm-6 : 00am
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- 100% inpatient
- Complex adult patient population - primarily Hepatology, GI, Transplant, Oncology and BMT.
- 12-18 admissions / week
- Team includes 3+ physicians and 6+ APPs
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordination of care during nightly rounds
- Providing patient and family education
- Assessing patients in the Emergency Department for admissions
- Initiating a workup for diagnosis and implementing a treatment plan
- Perform medical consults for subspecialty services
- Co-manage with multiple subspecialty services
Qualifications :
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certifications required
- If new graduate NP, RN inpatient PCU / critical care experience required
- If new graduate PA, hospital medicine clinical rotation required
- 1-2 years of APP experience highly preferred
