Our partner is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer for an outside sales position in Plymouth, MI . The role focuses on the origination of residential first mortgages through an external referral network, aiming to meet sales goals and credit union objectives.
This position includes the opportunity for a monthly draw limit and performance-based commissions.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver an exceptional member experience throughout the mortgage process.
- Develop and maintain a self-generating referral network to meet sales goals.
- Complete mortgage loan applications online, over the phone, or in person.
- Communicate with members about required information and set expectations for the application process.
- Pull tri-merge credit reports to ensure eligibility based on credit history and FICO scores.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential mortgage lending.
- Valid Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration.
- Solid understanding of mortgage industry lending practices and programs.
- Proven ability to cultivate and manage referral partnerships.
- Experience working in a sales-centric, goal-oriented environment.
- Exceptional professionalism and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Word, and databases.
- Experience in reaching or exceeding sales goals.
