OVERVIEW :

We are seeking a Solution Architect who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, an Investor-Owned Utility client headquartered in New Jersey.
This position is responsible for designing and implementing IT systems architecture that meets the set business requirements for a complex, long-term program to modernize the existing SAP ERP system to S4 / HANA for a regulated utility client.
LOCATION :
This position is located in Newark, NJ. Must be local and able to go in the office daily.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign along with Business and IT Product Owners.
- Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements.
- Collaborate with a team of Developers and Engineers to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.
- Engage with clients in understanding their requirements, scoping, discovering and defining solutions, explaining business benefits and use cases, and a roadmap to meet their goals.
- Assist the business in understanding the effort, risk, and effect of making changes to existing architecture.
- Produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements.
- Design workflows and assignment rules to automate manual processes.
- Create and maintain system-related documentation, such as business requirements, process flows, data maps, configuration worksheets, etc.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree with eight plus (8+) years of experience. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Strong knowledge / experience in SAP S / 4 HANA and with relevant implementation / upgrade experience.
- Strong requirements and design documentation skills are a must.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs.
- Ability to ask the right questions to define a solution.
- Ability to understand Methodologies (Agile, SDLC, SCRUM) and other industry business fundamentals.
- Knowledgeable in the design and construction architectures that enable well-integrated transaction, collaborative solutions.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Utility experience preferred.
