a full-service national staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct a search for a Advocacy Manager for immediate hire with a reputable nonprofit devoted to advocacy and social reform to support women & children's rights.

This is a Full Time, Direct Hire, local remote opportunity in the Newark, NJ area.

You must reside within a maximum distance of 1.5 hours from the office in the Newark, NJ area for occasional commuting into the office once or twice a month.

As the Advocacy Manager , you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to advance legislative and policy initiatives, mobilize community support, and drive systemic change.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies to advance the organization's mission and policy priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to support advocacy goals.
  • Monitor legislative and policy developments related to the organizations mission at the local, state, and national levels.
  • Draft and review policy documents, reports, testimony, and other advocacy materials for federal and state legislation.
  • Track and evaluate advocacy activities, outcomes, and impact to inform strategic planning and decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 3+ years of experience in advocacy, public policy, government relations, with a focus on gender equality, human rights, or social justice issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of legislative and policy processes, advocacy tactics, and coalition-building strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful advocacy campaigns and initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and compelling manner.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS :
