We take pride in our commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. Job Overview : Inspects machined workpieces and assemblies at assembly, inspection, machining stations and final to ensure conformance to specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Reads blueprints or engineering specifications to obtain product information such as specified material, surface finish and dimensions.
  • Measures dimensions such as length, height and distance between reference points to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Locates reference point on part and measures dimensions such as angle, arc and radius.
  • Reports findings for production and quality managers.
  • Inspects first run parts and files them.
  • Positions workpiece on surface plates and lays out reference points and center lines on parts.
  • Substitutes known values such as dimensions form blueprints into standard formulas and solves for unknown quantities to determine dimensions not specified in blueprints.
  • Writes report regarding inspection and testing results and logs in all nonconformances.
  • Issues Internal CAR and Program Change Request.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time. Preferred qualifications : Candidate must have some or all of the following Educational / Technical requirements :
  • Associate Degree from a tow year school or one to two years related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

Preferred skills and abilities : Candidate must have some or all of the following skills and abilities :

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Must possess basic math skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Work Environment : Plant is not climate controlled.
