Job Title : Cost Engineer - Heavy Civil (2+ years of experience)
Project Types : Heavy Civil, Transportation, Light Rail, Highway, Tunnel
Key Responsibilities :
- Able to perform all essential Cost Engineer job responsibilities
- Develop Project Budgets, and Help Maintain them throughout Projects
- Billing, Cost Coding, Invoicing, Track Actual v Projected
- Identify and track areas of risk on the project as it relates to the cost of the project
- Assist with Takeoffs and Estimating of the Project
- Help with Change Order Tracking, Creation, and Approval
- Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery
- Work with Superintendents to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures
- Manage project deliverables
Skills & Qualification :
- 2+ years as Project / Estimating / Cost Engineer for a reputable General Contractor
- 2+ years of experience on Heavy Civil, Transportation, Light Rail, Highway, and / or Tunnel Projects
- B.S. in Civil / Structural / Architectural Engineering / Architecture or recognized industry credentials
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn, grow, and develop, with a team that wants to promote your success
