Operations Manager
Role Summary
The Site Operations Manager will play a vital role in the culture and success of our team through motivating and coaching employees, thorough inspection and quality management, managing customer
relationships and optimizing finances to ensure scope of work completion and customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will encourage a learning-oriented work environment and empower your team members to effectively maintain equipment and execute company management systems while complying with
corporate practices and policies, leading to strong, consistent financial performance.
You will also maintain strong relationships with our customers to build trust and identify their potential unmet needs. You’ll represent LACOSTA through ensuring an excellent customer experience, while also collaborating with the corporate sales team to expand our business.
Role Responsibilities
Lead, serve and coach site operations with safety, teamwork, systems, and productivity :
Create and maintain an environment that empowers your team members to succeed and reach their potential.
Hire, develop and maintain the talent and skill sets necessary to fulfill customer needs and scope of work
completion.
- Use your integrity-driven servant leadership and emotional intelligence to promote a safe, caring, growth oriented and high-standard site subculture in alignment with our company’s values.
- Install and oversee company systems, practices, and policies, ensuring compliance with company standards and state laws.
- Document scope of work completion with people assignments and walk-throughs.
- Be accountable to the team, ensuring they hold to their role responsibilities.
- Implement KPIs / metrics that accurately represent the proficiency and productivity of our work.
Delegate and empower team member talent to deliver customer satisfaction and financial
performance :
Distribute responsibilities that fit each employee’s talents and provide growth opportunities.
- Find opportunities to appropriately challenge and stretch employees to facilitate growth.
- Gain strong understanding of team member strengths and growth areas to effectively organize work
responsibilities that capitalize on both employee talents and customer needs.
- Document team organizational charts and ensure transparency and clarity of all role responsibilities.
- Identify training and leadership exposure opportunities for high-potential talent.
- Ensure the team has the optimal equipment, resources, and support needed to succeed.
Manage strategic customer relationships with integrating systems, leadership, and standards :
Engage customer site leaders to align with strategic needs, plans and key management practices.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and annual planning discussions with customer leadership.
- Identify and adapt to key customer processes, practices, and preferred communication styles.
- Document customer’s organizational chart and understand all key employees and their responsibilities.
- Align our resources and systems towards customer needs, standards, and goals.
Collaborate with corporate sales in the pursuit of new regional customers :
While your primary focus will be effectively managing your site, expanding regional customers generates
professional growth for this role and team while also supporting the overall business.
When the current site has developed to be autonomous, this role should support our corporate sales team
through visiting and building relationships with influencers and decision makers.
Prepare resources, specifically people and equipment, to begin customer startups as needed.
Deliver operational and financial performance :
After caring for employees and the customer, we must take good care of the business by managing the people, the
site management systems, and equipment efficiently.
Monitor daily work, weekly production hours and monthly financials to identify leakage, overspending,
misalignments, and efficiency saving opportunities.
Audit compliance and use company data systems to quickly identify issues and install controls.
