JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to provide administrative support to an on-air talent at FOX News.
As the Production Assistant, you will manage a busy schedule, conduct research for various on-air segments, and help with additional production tasks.
The Production Assistant should be a team player who can work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and take initiative.
Sensitivity to confidential matters is critical to this role. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a desire to work in and learn about the news industry.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage an active calendar of appointments and coordinate all travel arrangements
Provide research support for various on-air appearances including shows, guest spots, and podcasts
Prioritize conflicting needs and incoming issues and handle those matters expeditiously and proactively
Pitch guest segments and daily story ideas
Source clips and work with editors to cut voiceovers, sound bites, and video montages for air
Oversee content rights and clearances
Assist the audience coordinator by welcoming and checking in the evening audience
Help bookers with managing guest appearances and travel arrangements
Select appropriate clips for social media
Assist in post-production editorial and production tasks
Undertake special project tasks as required
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
A Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
1 year of administrative support or office experience
Professional demeanor, including a business-like attitude and professional attire, a positive disposition, and a strong work ethic are essential
Unmatched organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Capable of thriving under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Strong interest in current events and pop culture
Discretion in handling confidential information and interacting with high-level executives

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is : $18.
25-25.00 per hour for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical / dental / vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
