This position is for 2nd shift. The position works Monday - Friday; with occasional Saturdays 4pm - 2 : 30am. This an hourly exempt position.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee production workers to ensure glass meets customer specifications.
- Issue work assignments to all production workers in the processors.
- Train and assist plant personnel in operating equipment and perform basic maintenance
- Conduct plant safety and quality meetings utilizing the Tier 1 method of measurement.
- Operate front end loader and forklifts as required.
- Supervise plant housekeeping aligning the plants with utilizing 5 S process
- Communicate schedules and safety requirements to ensure completion of tasks.
- Set up / Monitor / Adjust line speeds and equipment
- Load / Unload trucks / vans as needed
- Stage parts and / or supplies as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate all production workers
- Support and champion lean manufacturing initiatives
Required Skills :
- 2 to 5 years supervisory experience
- Good communications skills, both verbal and written
- MS Office / Computer skills, Basic Excel, Word
- Lean Manufacturing experience, a plus
- Problem Solving
- Heavy vehicle / equipment operation
- Strong leadership and teambuilding skills
