Manufacturing Engineer (Automotive)

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer with 3 years of experience in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in process improvement, production line optimization, quality assurance, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role involves developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing automotive products.
  • Optimize production line layouts and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime and defects.
  • Conduct time studies, analyze data, and implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve process flow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Design, and Production to support product development and manufacturing initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other documentation to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives to enhance production performance and quality.
  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) to create and modify designs for tooling and fixtures.
  • Support implementation of automation solutions and robotics to streamline manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of raw materials and components for production.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry as a Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA V5 / V6, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with automation and robotics implementation in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
