Job Overview :
The Facility Monitor / Janitor is to monitor the adherence to the clubhouse rules by all homeowners and their guests who visit the Fairway Canyon facility.
In addition, provide cleaning and sanitization to the facilities, ensuring ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all residents and staff.
Compensation : $18-19 / hour
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities.
For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Job Responsibilities :
- To be visible and accessible at all times throughout the shift.
- To provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere to the residents and their guests.
- To know and fully understand ALL rules associated with the facilities
- To know and fully understand cleaning procedures for the facilities.
- Be present during evening events to assist with checking in guests.
- Walk the facilities to see if residents are adhering to the rules and regulations. If they’re
not, contact the local police department if needed.
- If issues arise during check in or if access is denied, contact the local police department
- Close up the pool at midnight
- Walk the facilities after hours (clubhouse and pool only) and see that only residents gain
access to the pool area. If not, contact the local police department if needed.
- Clean the gym after each use.
- To oversee the behavior of all residents and guests making sure the behavior is within
the guidelines set forth in the facility guidelines.
To inform residents & guests of essential rules that they may have overlooked or
violated in a forthright and agreeable manner.
- To ensure all areas associated with facilities are safe.
- Verify member access cards and enforce guest limit if necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Completes accident / incident forms for all incidents in a timely manner when required.
- Ensure that supplies / tools are attended at all times.

- Tools / cart out of site while on break.
- Performs minor and major repair of common area buildings and equipment as needed,
document for follow through with appropriate work order system.
Install light bulbs and conduct minor repairs on ground level lighting or lighting that can be
reached with a 6 foot ladder.
- Move and arrange furniture and equipment and setup rooms for meetings as needed.
- Maintain common areas including but not limited to, power washing walkways, removing
cobwebs, cleaning deck furniture, removing fallen yard debris, picking up garbage and
disposing of garbage at appropriate disposal site.
Skills & Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be detail oriented and able to perform each

Must be able to interact and present themselves respectfully and firmly when enforcing
the associations guidelines with members.
Must be able to work full shifts outdoors in any elements of weather and or seasonal

Education & Experience :
- One year of experience of janitorial or custodial work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.

Tools & Equipment Used :
- Office equipment; computers, printers, fax machine, multi-line telephone, management software, etc.
- Current valid Driver's License required and valid auto insurance required
