Job Title : Production Assistant

Job Description

This individual will be in charge of unpackaging parts (orders can range from 2-2,000+ since they're a job shop). After unpackaging the parts, they will be responsible for racking them.

Racking the fixtures is similar to hanging ornaments on a tree - they will be pinching the spring clip (which is a heavy-duty metal clip) to then hang the fixture on the rack.

The clip itself isn't physically heavy, but it is metal, and individuals need to have strong grip strength to pinch the spring clips together and then release them to hang the components.

Good grip strength is essential to ensure the clip does not scratch the fixture. This individual may be racking for up to 10 hours a day.

Candidates need to be self-motivated individuals looking for a long-term opportunity to grow with the company. Training will be provided with a full-time employee.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Work Environment

Regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, and / or feel. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, and / or crawl.

The employee must be able to talk and / or hear regularly while completing the job. Occasionally, the employee is required to climb or balance.

The employee must regularly be able to lift and move up to 10 lbs, occasionally lift and / or move 25 lbs, and at times lift and / or move up to 50 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The warehouse is 80K square feet and full of anodizing tanks. The facility has concrete floors but does not require steel-toed shoes.

It is very well ventilated, with minimal noticeable smells. In the 80K square foot facility, there are only 50 employees.

We are looking for workers with independent drive.
