McNair TRIO Student Assistant

Position Summary One temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in McNair TRIO Grant.

Start Date Position available on or after October 1, 2023 and ending on or before May 31, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Job Description / Duties Duties include but are not limited to : Assist in the preparation of McNair applications, information sessions, orientation, and graduate visits.

Handle receptionist responsibilities, including responding to inquiries, conveying information, and warmly welcoming visitors.

Provide general clerical support to the Administrative Support Coordinator.Support recruiting efforts through outreach via telephone, email, and in-person engagement at occasional campus events.

Oversee facility operations, ensuring adherence to facility guidelines.Assist with light office cleaning, filing, and organizational tasks.

Run errands on campus as needed.Collaborate in coordinating student participation in various activities.Contribute to special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications : Demonstrates prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite, utilizing search engines.Demonstrates previous office experience.

Demonstrates prior experience working within a confidential environment.

Required Qualifications :

Undergraduate students must be registered / enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall / Spring units.Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall / Spring units. Special Conditions
