Job Purpose : This position will work on low voltage systems including fire and security alarm, access control and video surveillance systems.
- The work will include installation and service of these systems along with system testing.Duties : * Establishes security / fire alarm system by installing equipment;
- running and pulling wiring; programming and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.* Verifies system functioning by testing equipment, connections, and signals;
- identifying and correcting problems.* Maintains records by documenting installation or service.* Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns;
answering questions.* Maintains safe and secure work environment by following safe practices; keeping security information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.Skills / Qualifications : * Massachusetts Class D Systems Technician License.
A Rhode Island BF License is a plus.*Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.*Ability to obtain a Security Systems Certificate of Clearance.
Knowledgeable with panel programming.*Ability to troubleshoot and work with tech support to resolve system issues.*Able to handle the physical demands such as carrying tools and ladders, working in crawl spaces and on scaffolding.
