Summary :

Our client is a growing healthcare company seeking a Staff / Principal Engineer who enjoys coding. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring, Boot, SaaS, AWS Cloud, and deep backend microservices algorithms, with experience in the healthcare domain being a significant plus.

Our Product Engineering teams strive to deliver end-to-end customer and patient outcomes while evaluating long-term technical vision with a bias towards action and customer / product value.

Responsibilities :

• Be responsible for a product engineering team delivering key objectives that enable the product to scale, directly improving healthcare provision across the world.
• Assess the impact of your team's work on other areas of the organization, including long-term architectural viability and opportunities for wider cooperation.
• Lead a software engineering team, building out our platform and product for use by patients and healthcare professionals.
• Build scalable, well-tested applications and microservices.
• Collaborate closely with biomedical engineering, data science, electronics engineering, and product science teams.
• Operate across the stack with significant backend or data engineering experience.
• Lead technical designs and contribute to code reviews with a focus on improving quality.
• Work closely with Product Management to ensure accountability for outcomes delivered, contributing to product vision and strategy.

Qualifications :

• Strong experience in Java, Spring, Boot, SaaS, AWS Cloud, and deep backend microservices algorithms; healthcare domain experience is a plus.
• Significant experience in reviewing, releasing, deploying, and troubleshooting code.
• Experience writing tests and testable code, leading and delivering cross-team projects, and delivering across managed cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience in writing technical designs and solving issues across the stack.
• Experience in leading technical teams through design and implementation of features, with healthcare industry experience or Ionic hybrid apps experience being beneficial.
• Ability to solve problems and make a difference; flexible and quick to learn.
• Team player, ready to help, debate, compromise, and work collaboratively.
• Comfortable working, prototyping, and delivering incrementally while adapting to customer needs and technical challenges.
• Attention to detail with an understanding of the big picture.
• Exposure to highly scalable and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of at least one modern programming language.
