Play.ai (fka PlayHT) is at the forefront of generative voice and conversational LLMs. With our Speech Synthesis and Voice Cloning models, we are building SOTA conversational AI products.

We are building a platform and infrastructure for Conversational AI Voice Agents so that every business, developer, or tinkerer can easily build talking human-like AI agents and use them to serve their customers;

this will unlock massive value for the world and a lot of happiness for people using these delightful agents.

We joined YC last year in the YC W23 batch. Since then, we have raised $20m in seed funding and seen significant growth in users and revenue (20x the last two years).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Demand Generation Strategy : Craft and execute comprehensive strategies to drive demand for our products, synthesizing diverse inputs into clear and actionable plans.
  • Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure cohesive implementation of demand generation strategies.

Own the marketing-driven revenue pipeline and drive full-funnel marketing in collaboration with the sales team.

  • Market Analysis : Continuously monitor and analyze the voice AI industry, identifying key trends, competitors, and opportunities to position our products distinctively for various target audiences.
  • Lead Campaign Development : Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns that target specific user segments, focusing on conversion and retention.

Oversight of channels including paid media, outbound email, content marketing, webinars, events, and social media engagement, resulting in booked meetings for the sales team.

Performance Monitoring : Track key metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of demand generation strategies and make data-driven adjustments.

Regularly report on performance, and proactively suggest and implement new demand generation programs.

Content Strategy : Develop and guide the content strategy for demand generation efforts, ensuring alignment with overall brand messaging and market positioning.

Qualifications

  • Experience : Minimum of 6 years in a growth marketing role, with a proven track record of driving demand and achieving measurable results.
  • Industry Background : Experience in a B2B software company or with B2B software products is essential. Strong understanding of the voice AI landscape and its players (preferred).
  • Demand Generation Expertise : Strong knowledge of theoretical and practical concepts in demand generation, with the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Market Acumen : Proficiency in understanding economics and market forces to inform strategic decisions.
  • Campaign Management : Proven ability to lead end-to-end marketing campaigns, from conceptualization to execution, with measurable success.

A strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality, able to translate vision into action.

  • Analytical Skills : Strong ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and campaign performance to inform strategic adjustments.
  • Content Creation : Experience in guiding content strategies that support demand generation efforts, with a keen understanding of target audience needs.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities.
