Duties and Responsibilities :
- Repair CNC Machinery, Manual Machine and Machining Centers.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
- Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues.
- Identify and replace parts as necessary.
- Complete testing and adjust of parts as needed.
- Complete planned and preventative procedures.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance procedures.
- Repair and maintain manual machines.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and maintenance companies to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
- Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions.
- In conjunction with production, develop PM schedule.
- General facilities maintenance.
Skills and Abilities :
- Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides.
- Demonstrates high degree of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical aptitude and repair abilities.
- Ability to comprehend given instructions.
- Ability to multitask job duties effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Skilled Trade Certification, preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a group (Team) environment and individually.
- Ability to work weekends as required.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma.
- 10+ years in a Technician role, manufacturing a plus.
- Experience with FANUC, Siemens and OEM controls.
- Experience
- Advanced knowledge of CNC machine design and operation.
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reading, writing and general math skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift 35 lbs., stand, walk, bend / stoop on a regular basis.
