TSINY, a non-profit mental health services agency seeks Receptionist for Part- Time Positions for our PROS / Clinic in Jamaica, NY.

Salary : $20.50 / Hr.

Position Summary

Perform administrative and office support activities. Duties include, but are not limited to, meeting and greeting staff, visitors and recipients, handles incoming calls and performs general administrative duties.

Software knowledge, organizational skills and strong communication skills are required.

Essential Functions

  • Greet staff, visitors and recipients.
  • Route incoming calls.
  • Record and distribute messages.
  • Disseminate general information regarding Agency services / programs.
  • Verify Medicaid eligibility via OMNI machine or EPACES.
  • Schedule / confirm appointments via AWARDS.
  • Utilize PTAR system for carfare distribution.
  • Distribute schedules to CDTP recipients.
  • Maintain working knowledge of HIPPA regulations.
  • Participate in all trainings as assigned.
  • Be able to sit or stand as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • May require walking, primarily on a level surface, for short periods throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Be able to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • During a declared disaster, assume and adhere to assigned Job Action role(s) consistent with Disaster Preparedness Plan.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Experience / Education / Skills / Abilities

High School diploma plus one year's related experience in clerical or receptionist capacity.
